Model Building Fever in Bremen

Sinsheim/Bremen. Model building will be the centre of attention at the Bremen Exhibition Centre from the 21st through the 23rd of November, 2008. Roughly 150 exhibitors from 8 countries will present model building at its best, and entertain visitors with a time tested mix including spectacular demonstrations, attractive special shows and a top quality sales exhibition for three full days.

Participating commercial exhibitors and clubs come from Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Switzerland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands, and will present comprehensive offerings from the areas of model railroading, model shipbuilding, model car and aircraft building, as well as plastic and cardboard model building. Visitors can look forward to fascinating impressions, lots of opportunities for hands-on participation and a unique atmosphere. Highlights offered in Bremen include the “Airliner” special show with numerous model aeroplanes from northern Germany and the presentation of RC racing hovercraft manufactured by Ikarus, which reach speeds of up to 60 km per hour and will be presented to the public for the first time ever as a world premiere just a few days beforehand at Modellbau Friedrichshafen. Not only will it be possible to admire the new RC racing hovercraft in action several times a day, visitors will be able to pilot them themselves at races for everyone and anyone. Where model shipbuilding is concerned, world renowned model builder Hans-Jürgen Mottschall from the Schiffsmodellbau-Club Hamburg e.V. (Hamburg model shipbuilding club) will exhibit his famous models. To date he’s won 84 national and international medals for his outstanding work, 15 of which were gold medals taken at world championships.
